Rebellious Melissa and straitlaced Andrew pour their hearts on to the page exchanging notes and letters from grammar schools to adulthood, bonding over experiences of angst-ridden boarding schools, career ambitions and failed relationships of their separated lives.

A.R. Gurney’s Love Letters is a tender, tragicomic, and nuanced examination of the shared nostalgia, missed opportunities, deep closeness and finally still- born love affair of two lifelong, complicated friends.
