Synopsis

This classic British farce centers on John Smith, a London taxi driver who has been successfully leading a double life for five years. Married to two different women, he uses his irregular shift work to keep them from discovering one another. When a small accident messes up his schedule, the carefully kept secret starts to unravel. With the help of his neighbor Stanley, John frantically tries to keep his wives, the police, and a nosy newspaper reporter from discovering his bigamous lifestyle, all while weaving an increasingly complex web of lies that ultimately falls apart, with unexpected consequences.
